Army Cadet Basic Parachutist Course Graduation

The annual Army Cadet Basic Parachute Course graduated from the Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre (CAAWC) on 24 July 2026. Six CAFA members from Kingston, Ottawa and Victoriaville were on hand to help celebrate their achievements and present them with various awards, coins and bursaries. The Cadet BPara was conducted simultaneously with a Reg/Res BPara serial. Of note, the Cadet BPara is the only regular force course which Cadets complete and has the exact same standards

Basic Parachute Course Top Candidate Award

The Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre (CAAWC) recently accepted CAFA’s request to provide a Basic Parachutist Top Candidate Award to every BPara serial going forward. While such an award existed several decades ago, no one is sure when it stopped being presented nor where the applicable trophy is hiding!
