41 Army Cadets Earn Jump Wings at CAAWC Trenton - Basic Parachutist Course 0253

On Friday 25 July, 41 Army Cadets completed Basic Parachutist Course Serial 0253 at the Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre (CAAWC) located at 8 Wing CFB Trenton.

The Reviewing Officer for the graduation parade was LCol J.W. Brown, CO CAAWC, whose training staff presented each proud cadet with his or her jump wings. Rick Hatton and Bruce Ewing, representing the Canadian Airborne Forces Association (CAFA), were on hand to congratulate the cadets and to present each with a Cadet Para coin from CAFA.

The coins were generously donated by Marlene Schmidle in memory of her departed husband Joe Drouin (RIP). This is quite an accomplishment for young people only 16-18 years old!
