Airborne Soldier of the Year - 2024

The Canadian Airborne Forces Association (CAFA) Soldier of the Year is MCpl Dylan Caron from 3rd Battalion Royal 22nd Regiment (R22eR).
During the past year MCpl Caron’s influence within the francophone Airborne Community has been strengthened through his numerous accomplishments. He was instrumental in the conversion training to the MC6 Canopy with CSOR.
His determination and leadership during the 2024 Annual Competition (USA) showcased the Canadian Airborne culture and reinforced the exchange of Airborne knowledge and training with other nations. He earned his Jumpmaster qualification in October thereby enhancing unit capabilities.
His personal leadership and skill have had a direct and tangible impact on the units performance and morale, strengthening teamwork and cohesion, ensuring operational readiness. Master Corporal Dylan Caron perfectly embodies the values and spirit of the Canadian Airborne.
