Join the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion Pilgrimage – May 14–23, 2027

The Canadian Airborne Forces Association (CAFA), in partnership with Fields of Fire and Merit Travel, is honoured to host a commemorative pilgrimage to Europe from 14–23 May 2027, retracing the footsteps of the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion.

This extraordinary journey will bring Canadian paratroopers, veterans, families, and supporters together to honour our legacy on the battlefields where history was made.

Tour Highlights

Participants will visit key locations across Normandy, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany, including:

Historic Airborne battlefields
The D-Day beaches
Fortress Eben-Emael, Arnhem, and La Gleize
Significant monuments, museums, and Commonwealth War Cemeteries

The tour will be guided by experienced military historians and veterans, ensuring both education and reflection throughout the journey.

L’Association des Forces Aéroportées Canadiennes (CAFA), en partenariat avec Fields of Fire et Merit Travel, a l’honneur d’organiser un pèlerinage commémoratif en Europe du 14 au 23 mai 2027, sur les traces du 1er Bataillon de Parachutistes Canadiens.

Ce voyage historique rassemblera parachutistes, vétérans, familles et sympathisants afin de rendre hommage au patrimoine aéroporté canadien sur les lieux mêmes où cette histoire s’est écrite.

Moments forts du voyage

Les participants visiteront plusieurs sites emblématiques en Normandie, Belgique, aux Pays-Bas et en Allemagne, notamment :

Les champs de bataille marquants des forces aéroportées
Les plages du Débarquement
Fort d’Ében-Émael, Arnhem et La Gleize
D’importants monuments, musées et cimetières militaires du Commonwealth

Le voyage sera accompagné par des historiens militaires et des vétérans expérimentés, pour une expérience à la fois instructive et mémorielle.
