On June 6th, 2024 a joint ceremony was held in Siffleur Falls to commemorate the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalions participation in D-Day 80 years ago. It was well attend from numerous veteran organizations and 3 PPCLI. During the event War Artist Roger Chabot unveiled his painting “Hot DZ” which depicts the 1 Can Para on D-Day.
